Richard Gott - Journalist & Historian

 

 

Richard Gott is a British journalist and historian. He worked for many years at The Guardian in London, as a foreign correspondent and as the features editor. His books include The Appeasers (with Martin Gilbert), Guerilla Movements in Latin America, Hugo Chávez and the Bolivarian Revolution and Cuba: A New History.

 

Richard Gott's new book is Britain's Empire: Resistance, Repression, and Revolt. He is currently an associate fellow at the Institute for the Study of the Americas at the University of London.
